Black History Month
President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month in 1976. Since then, every U.S. president officially designated the month of February as Black History Month; a great time to honor the legacies of great leaders and pioneers such as Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Rosa Parks.
