What aircrew training do you offer?

Track A Physiological Refresher Training:

Track A (formerly Trainer, Attack, Reconnaissance, Fighter - TARF): For aircrew who fly in ejection seat-equipped aircraft such as trainer, bomber/attack, fighter or C4ISR, except for aircrew flying U-2

Track T Physiological Refresher Training:

Track T (formerly Tanker, Transport, and Bomber - TTB): For aircrew who fly in tanker and transport aircraft and those manned C2ISR aircraft who do not fly with ejection seats.

Track R Physiological Refresher Training:

For Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) aircrew. Consists only of refresher academics on human factors such as fatigue, attention management threats to situational awareness, including displays and automation challenges, and spatial disorientation. No altitude chamber or ROBD training is required. These training dates are set on an as needed basis.

Night Vision Goggle (NVG) Training: We support both initial and refresher training. These training dates are set on an as needed basis.

Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD) – a hypoxia training device that substitutes for the hypobaric (altitude) chamber.

Airsickness Management Training – scheduled on an as needed basis, contact us for dates.

How can I schedule an appointment?
To schedule physiological training please email both Capt Brown and SSgt Freeman with desired training/aircraft you fly.

What should I bring to my appointment?
You will need a current DD Form 2992 (Medical Recommendation for Flying or Special Duty), and proof of prior physiological training, AF Form 1274.

What if I don’t have a mask/helmet?
We have spare equipment you can use.

How long does training take?

Plan on the 5-year physiological refresher training taking approximately 4hr total. This includes academics plus ROBD.

For annual hypoxia training, this training is ROBD only and takes approximately 15min.
