Daily Update: 8 July 2020

For 8 July, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Bravo Plus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cases reported on the morning update are based upon data reported to our Public Health Team, and reflect only the confirmed positives. Some lag times in reporting will occur because most testing is done off the installation and requires reporting through a variety of sources.  The numbers reported on this daily update are as accurate and timely as possible with this process. Personal concern is understandable and balancing your safety with our national defense missions remains the top priority, which is why we always report to you anything we know when we know it. Please help by doing your part - distance where possible, wear your face covering when social distancing is not possible, wash your hands often and disinfect frequently.  The fight against COVID-19 is on-going, let’s have each other’s back and get through this safely.

Don’t forget, today at 3:30 p.m., the Base Community Action Team and 552 Integrated Resilience Manager, supported by the African American Heritage Council, will be hosting a dialogue on diversity and inclusion at the Tinker Auditorium. This event is meant to further develop awareness and understanding of how race affects our Air Force. All base personnel (military, civilian, contractors, families and retirees) are invited to attend. Due to COVID-19 precautions, attendance will be limited to the first 75 people, masks are mandated, and the doors will open at 3 p.m. Anonymous questions for panel members can be sent here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AAHCpanel

REMINDER: Don’t forget in every case to contact the Medical Group COVID-19 Public Health Hotline at 405-582-6297 with any questions or concerns. If you get tested at one of the Free Testing Sites, and test positive, you must contact this Hotline. Violations of OPSEC endanger national security! Never discuss mission capabilities or details on social media. Also, please refrain from mentioning names of potentially ill individuals for privacy.
