  • Edwards AFB kicks off its 2019 Combined Federal Campaign

    This week, Brig. Gen. E. John Teichert, 412th Test Wing Commander, Col. Kirk Reagan, 412th TW Vice Commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Ian Eishen, 412th TW Command Chief, kicked off this year’s Combined Federal Campaign at wing headquarters on Edwards Air Force Base, California, Nov. 4.

  • Murderball comes to Edwards during NDEAM

    A special demonstration event for wheelchair rugby was held at the base gym at Edwards Air Force Base, Oct. 24, to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Wheelchair rugby, also known as murderball, is a team event closely resembling rugby, however it is played entirely in modified wheelchairs. The demonstration was spearheaded by Andrew Skinner, the founder of the Triumph Foundation.
  • STARBASE graduates local students

    Fifth graders from the STARBASE Edwards program were honored during a graduation ceremony at the Idea Academy at Cottonwood Elementary School in Palmdale, California, Oct. 23. STARBASE Edwards is a joint program between the Department of Defense, the 412th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base, local educators, non-profit organizations and industry partners. The goal of STARBASE is to increase children’s interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
  • 420th Flight Test Squadron reactivated to support B-21 Raider testing at Edwards

    The 420th Flight Test Squadron was reactivated following an assumption of command ceremony here Oct. 4. The squadron will plan, test, analyze and report on all flight and ground testing of the B-21 Raider.

  • Edwards goes on tactical pause for resiliency

    The Resilience Tactical Pause is an ongoing opportunity for leaders at all levels to respond to the matter of suicide. The current trend of suicides in the Air Force have surpassed last year’s numbers at the same point in the year. The Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Gen. David Goldfein, asked leaders at all levels across the Air Force to use this 45 day window, between Aug. 1 and Sept. 15, to discuss this issue with their Airmen and civilians and to report back what can be done differently to address and reduce suicides, said Julie Wilbanks, the base community support coordinator.
