TPS increases bandwidth

A newly installed antenna sits atop the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School. The antenna is part of a new aeronautical telemetry ground system. The system will allow airborne data to be transferred to the ground in the C-band frequency range in addition to the L-and S-band frequency ranges used by the current system. Left to right, Staff Sgt. Leilani Rosa and Senior Airman Apolinario Domingo, both of the 95th Medical Group, care for a victim during Tuesday’s earthquake mass casualty exercise on Edwards. While the exercise was base-wide, this scenario took place at the Family Readiness Center and simulated the collapse of the roof of the facility trapping 13 victims inside. Edwards Fire Department personnel extracted the 13 victims and transported them to a safe distance from the structure where medical personnel treated them for their injuries. Each victim was made-up with various injuries of moulage. Some of the victims sustained puncture wounds, others, compound fractures, scrapes and cuts.
