HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center logistics community at Hill Air Force Base is entering the second year of the Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) for qualifying college juniors interested in a paid summer internship beginning May 2020 that could lead to a fulltime developmental position after graduation.
The 12-week internship will give candidates on-the-job training in weapon system logistics management, supporting one of many AFLCMC divisions at Hill AFB. Also included as part of the internship is a four-day symposium held with more than 100 interns across the United States. The symposium provides networking, guided Hill AFB tours, and several senior leader guest speakers.
This program offers juniors who are currently enrolled fulltime (12 or more semester hours) in a qualifying four-year program, a paid internship at Hill Air Force Base lasting 12 weeks in the summer prior to their senior year at the GS-04, Step 1, pay grade. Pay is approximately $14.54 per hour.
The main requirements to qualify for the PCIP include:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Enrollment as a full-time student in a baccalaureate degree program
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.95 or higher
Once students successfully complete the internship, they will return to school to complete their degree.
Upon graduation, they may be non-competitively converted to a position within the three- year PALACE (PAQ) Acquire Logistics Trainee Program. Trainees start at the GS-07 level and will be eligible for promotion every 52 weeks through program completion. PAQ graduates are then placed on permanent positions within the general schedule workforce.
Apply by sending a student resume, current transcripts and proof of enrollment before Sept. 30 to joey.wilkinson@us.af.mil.
