Edwards AFB Technical Sergeant Achieves Rare Ph.D. Milestone

Tech Sgt. Bionca Thomas, Detachment 2 of the 9th Operations Group, takes a photo in a CH-47 helicopter during a recent training exercise. According to The Air Force Personnel Center's academic demographics for the Air Force Officer core, which mandates a minimum four-year degree for commissioning, only 2.6% hold doctorate degrees, setting Thomas's achievement in a league of its own.
