Wright-Patt’s Arnold House: A front porch view of aviation evolution

A print from the 1874 Greene County Atlas depicts the stylish home built by Henry Hebble in the early 1840s and would later become Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s Arnold House, named in honor of Gen. Henry “Hap” Arnold. Arnold and his family resided there from 1929 to 1931 when he was Fairfield Air Depot commander.
