Edwards AFB celebrates Engineers Week
In recognition of Engineers Week 2022, base engineers held a patch designing contest and selected this design, created by Sandra Peters, 812th Aircraft Instrumentation Test Squadron. “I wanted to created something that embodied all engineering aspects here in the 412th test wing. I picked symbols that I felt were universally associated with the respective disciplines. Mechanical engineering being the giant gear, that kind of holds everyone together. Electrical being the lightning bolt, for a jolt of energy. A rocket for Aerospace engineering. An airplane for aeronautical engineering. A satellite for radar engineers. Last, but not least, in the background are ones and zeros for software engineers," Peterson said. (Air Force graphic by Sandra Peterson)
