The C-130J is the latest model and incorporates state-of-the-art technology, which reduces manpower requirements, lowers operating and support costs and provides life-cycle cost savings over earlier C-130 models. The Louisville Air National Guard Base, Kentucky; McLaughlin ANGB, West Virginia; Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Texas; and Savannah ANGB, Georgia have been selected as the preferred locations to receive C-130J Super Hercules aircraft to replace their aging C-130Hs, pending the outcome of environmental assessments.
