Contractors and Airmen watch as an excavator begin the demolition of the base chapel after it sustained major damage after Hurricane Michael at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Feb. 11, 2019. The 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Program Management Office and Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center collaborated to complete the Tyndall AFB Programmatic Environmental Assessment. Tyndall can obligate funds to start the 28 rebuild projects evaluated under the EA, which includes construction of new facilities and infrastructure, renovations, consolidation, demolition of 1.93 million square feet and management of natural resources.
