Scorpion girls volleyball clinch first place in league again, begin playoffs
Desert Junior Senior High School girls’ volleyball team middle hitter Devyn Cross, #24, goes for the kill against a Mammoth High School blocker Oct. 30 at DJSHS. The volleyball team finished their season as Desert Mountain League Champions with a final league record of 14-0. Since the team ranked second in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) 4A Division, Desert received a bye for the first round of playoffs and will be playing in the second round Nov. 12 at home at 7 p.m. against Bassett High School.
