PACANGEL Tonga
Approximately 2,000 pairs of glasses were delivered to Tonga for those in need of corrective lenses and are prepared July 21, 2014, in Neiafu, Tonga. The optometry clinic was one of four clinics in the healthcare services outreach. The outreach was part of Operation Pacific Angel-Tonga, where, with the help of Red Cross volunteer interpreters, doctors and medical technicians were able to provide acute care and educate patients on preventative health measures for different ailments.
