AFMC commander pays tribute to Young Heroes

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Gen. Bruce Carlson pins a name tag on 5-year-old Miranda Pollitt during the 14th annual Wright-Patt Young Heroes Association banquet. General Carlson, the commander of Air Force Materiel Command, presented medals and certificates to Miranda and 12 other Young Heroes and also served as the guest speaker for the event, held March 30 at nearby Wright State University. Wright-Patt Young Heroes Association is a non-profit organization established to recognize the courage and valor of young people who fight serious or chronic childhood diseases or serious accident related injuries.
