First flight marks temporary runway operational use
Maj. Gen. David Eichhorn, Air Force Flight Test Center commander, takes off in his F-16 Fighting Falcon from Edwards' new temporary runway here May 19. General Eichhorn's flight marked the temporary runway's first use operationally.
