Welcome home, Atlantis
Space shuttle STS-125 Atlantis lands at Edwards May 24 after completing a 13-day journey of approximately 5.3 million miles in space. The Atlantis crew performed five spacewalks on five consecutive days to repair and upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope. This is the 53rd time NASA has been required to use Edwards as its alternate landing site. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Julius Delos Reyes)
