Welcome home, Atlantis

Space shuttle STS-125 Atlantis lands at Edwards May 24 after completing a 13-day journey of approximately 5.3 million miles in space. The Atlantis crew performed five spacewalks on five consecutive days to repair and upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope. In preperation for this, Edwards is required to undergo two exercises a year by Human Space Flight to ensure the base's capabilities to support a shuttle landing meets NASA's standards.
