Wienermobile
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile rolled up to the Edwards commissary, Dec. 1 and made a stand – a hot dog stand – in front of the store. Wienermobile staff, known as Hotdoggers, spent the day “chillin’ and grillin’” as they handed out free hot dogs and stickers. Those who sang the “Oscar Mayer Wiener Song” earned a Wienerwhistle. Jaclyn Frumkin, a Wienermobile Hotdogger, said there are six Wienermobiles in the United States, each serving a different region. She said she and her staff are on the road for a year driving around the Southwest. The Wienermobile receives thousands of requests each year to appear at various events to promote Oscar Mayer wieners. An estimated 500 people from the Edwards community took pictures, ate food and looked inside the 27-foot hot dog on wheels. (Air Force photo by Kenji Thuloweit)
