Legacy, Commitment to Giving

Col. Garvin McGettrick, commander, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Detachment 5 here, has some serious support when it comes to the Combined Federal Campaign. This year’s co-chairs, Major Chad Holt and Major Patrick Merriman, are members of McGettrick’s unit. Capt. Frederick Beck is AFOTEC Det5, CFC Coordinator and the commander’s right hand man when filling out this year’s elections. “People have three ways they can give back: time, ability, or money. For those that choose, or are not able to give financially, volunteering is a great way to give back,” said Col. McGettrick. “However, the nice thing about CFC is that donations can be small and still make a huge difference.” Col. McGettrick said he is especially proud to support this year’s 50th Anniversary Campaign, “Men and women in federal service have been giving back during times of prosperity and hardship for many decades now. It feels good to be a part of that kind of legacy, a commitment to giving.” (Courtesy Photo)
