USAF Test Pilot School, Chuck Yeager, Mike Machat, Douglas Ettridge, NF-104
Then Col. Chuck Yeager visits with "I Dream of Jeannie" star, Barbara Eden in his office at the United States Aerospace Research Pilot School. The NF-104 painting, created in 1962 by British aviation artist, Douglas Ettridge is displayed behind Yeager's desk. Considered an important piece of USAF Test Pilot School history, the painting was restored by renowned aviation artist, historian, and author Mike Machat in February after extensive damage to the artwork was discovered while redecorating.
