Edwards ATC tower offers new ‘way out’ for controllers
Airman 1st Class Daniel Rose, 412th Operations Support Squadron air traffic control apprentice, prepares to rappel down the lower level of the Edwards ATC tower with the new High Rise Escape System recently installed in the tower Jan. 31. the HRES is a controlled descent device that is capable of lowering individuals safely to the ground, via a harness or oversized evacuation pant suit.
