Have STRAINger Things”: trilateral partnership results in new Test Instrumentation capabilities
The United States Air Force Test Pilot School’s research division, in partnership with the 586th Flight Test Squadron at Holloman AFB and NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center recently conducted a flight test campaign verifying the use of the new AgilePod. Dubbed “Have STRAINger Things,” the tests verified the AgilePod’s utility for rapid airborne experimentation, aimed at reducing lead times and costs that traditionally hinder flight-testing efforts. 9th OSS Trains Aircraft Take-off, Landing on Rogers Lake
Airmen from the 9th Operations Support Squadron from Beale Air Force Base trains air traffic operations in a forward-deployed location with two Cessna airplanes from the Edwards Aero Club on Rodgers Dry Lake at Edwards AFB, California, June 6. Rogers Dry Lake continues to be used by Edwards AFB to provide training opportunities in austere environments and as an emergency landing site for both air and spacecraft.
