Upcoming fitness challenges Published Sept. 6, 2016 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 412th Medical Group’s Health Promotions office has some fitness events on the horizon. A fitness dash will be held Sept. 14 at 7 a.m. Those interested can meet up at the Rosburg Fitness Center. The run will take place on fitness center’s trail. Participants can participate alone or as a team. Teams need to have a minimum of four members with at least one female team member. The 1.2 mile dash has eight stations: Station 1: Squats (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 2: Push-ups (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 3: Tuck Jumps (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 4: Bear crawls (25 yards) Station 5: Butterfly sit-ups (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 6: Mountain climbers (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 7: Seated leg pull-ins (50 for individual; 150 for team) Station 8: Burpees (35 for individual; 100 for team) then sprint to finish From Sept. 12 – 30, people can also sign up for the Edwards AFB Slightly INSANE Challenge. From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. each week day, competitors looking for a challenge can sign up for 30-minute slots to run through seven stations on the fitness center track. Stations: Station 1: Pull-ups (30 for men; 15 for women) Station 2: Deadlifts (30 for men at 155 lbs); 15 for women at 110lbs) Station 3: Kettlebell Swings (35 for men at 35 lbs); 20 for women at 18 lbs) Station 4: Box Jumps (30 for men at 30 inches); 15 for women at 24 inches Station 5: Tire Flips (10 for men; 5 for women) Station 6: Ropes (35 for men; 20 for women) Station 7: 400 meter run Both events are open to competitors of all levels.
