Edwards ESC, First Shirt Council donate 175 filled backpacks to local community

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- With the combined funds of the Edwards Enlisted Spouses Club and the First Sergeants Council, the organizations were able to stuff 175 backpacks with school supplies to give back to those in the Edwards community Aug. 5.

Spouses and NCOs alike gathered at Chapel 1 Aug. to stuff the backpacks from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The packs were filled with supplies from this year's annual school supply drive.

The backpacks began to be distributed Aug. 6.
