Enlisted promotions & military testing - Government shutdown/furlough limiting factors Published Oct. 7, 2013 By 412th Force Support Squadron EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Military Personnel Sections across the Air Force want to notify personnel of the following limiting factors for Enlisted Promotions during the government shutdown/furlough. - Chief Master Sergeant (13E9) Evaluation Board will be delayed and has been tentatively rescheduled to convene Oct.15 to 25 instead of Oct. 7 to 18. The original file freeze date of Sept. 30 will remain the same and any data updated in MilPDS after Sept. 30 for the 13E9 promotion cycle will not reflect on the member's Data Verification Record. If an individual's eligibility status changes or an update is required to a member's DVR after Sept. 30, the MPS must send an email to afpc.dpsoe@us.af.mil and use '13E9 Board Change Request' in the Subject Line. - October In-System Supplemental scheduled for release Oct. 10 is cancelled and will be combined with the November In-System Supplemental tentatively scheduled for release Nov. 14 at 8 a.m. CDT. MPS's who have Airmen who will reach their HYT by Nov. 14 and have WAPS tested, should immediately notify Air Force Personnel Center. - Testing control officers/test examiners may continue to WAPS test members and retain the answer sheets in a safe and secure location per AFI 36-2605 para 5.5.2. DO NOT mail testing material until the government shutdown/furlough has ended. - All activities performed within the AFPC Military Testing office to include test scoring and creating TCO accounts have ceased until the furlough ends. This impacts scoring of WAPS tests, OPIs, and AFOQT tests. Additionally, no action will be taken on Retroactive Promotion CMS cases. This list may NOT be all inclusive however, AFPC keep you informed if additional limitations are discovered. We thank you in advance for your patience during our government shutdown/furlough. The 412th Force Support Squadron Military Personnel Section is the liaison with AFPC Enlisted Promotions. For more information, call MPS or call DSN 665-2107/2362; or e-mail afpc.dpsoe@us.af.mil for additional clarification.
