November's 'Move the Food Event'

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --  The Edwards Air Force Base Chapel is sponsoring a Move the Food Event Nov. 1.

The food give away will be Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the food is gone.

The event will be held in the Chapel 1 Annex.

The chapel will hand out one bag of food per family of four to anyone who shows up. If you or someone you know has been especially affected by the furloughs, government shut down, or recession, please stop by.

The event is open to all military, DOD civilians, and DOD contractors.

If you would like to supply food for this effort, the list of items below is what the chapel needs most. Your donations can be dropped off at the Chapel 2 main office during regular duty hours.

Cans of Green Beans
Cans of Mixed Vegetables
Cans of Chili Pasta
Cans of Fruit
Canned Meat
Muffin Mixes
Rice
Canned Beans
Spaghetti Sauce
Spaghetti 'O'S
Ramen Noodles
Mac & Cheese
Dry Cereal
Baby Formula/food
Dry Milk
Canned Soups
Diapers
Toilet Paper
Feminine Hygiene products
