412th MDG promotes 'Small Steps, Big Rewards' at annual health fair Published Oct. 22, 2013 By Kenji Thuloweit 412th Test Wing Public Affairs Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 412th Medical Group's Main Clinic opened up its doors to host a health fair Oct. 17. The theme this year was 'Small Steps, Big Rewards' which focused on prevention and promoting healthy habits. Along with base agencies like Civilian Health Promotion Services, Employee Assistance Program, the Health and Wellness Center, Public Health, Optometry, Dental, and Physical Therapy, the 412th MDG also invited health providers and services from the local region to attend. Antelope Valley Hospital, High Desert Medical Group, Palmdale Regional Medical Center, Snow Orthodontics, Sam's Club, Valley Wide Dental, Lancaster Imaging, Dr Madhavan's office, Cayenne Wellness, and Healthy Cooking with Princess House also had booths and tables inside the Main Clinic lobby. "This Health Fair is to provide our beneficiaries with information of the services available on and off base," said Capt. Sarah Maramba, 412th MDG. "We also hope that it will raise awareness in our population about the importance of preventative health." The health fair is an annual event and hopefully will continue to occur every year with support of the base and it's community.
