AF Chief of Staff lands at Edwards

Welsh, along with his wife, Betty, is visiting Edwards AFB to meet with Team Edwards Airmen and their families, as well as receive updates on test programs. Welsh will visit the Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force, South Base and the 412th Electronic Warfare Group. He will also hold an all call to talk to the Team Edwards workforce.

As chief of staff, Welsh serves as the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the organization, training and equipping of 690,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the general and other service chiefs function as military advisers to the Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and the President.
