For two hours, Edwards AFB's base theater was transformed into a rockin' arena as Tops in Blue performed for hundreds of music fans June 8.

The free concert featured the Air Force's premiere entertainment team, all made up of active duty Airmen, singing everything from hits that you hear on the radio today to oldies but goodies.

Some of the songs featured during the set were from movies like "Beauty and the Beast," "Dispicable Me," and "Frozen." The Tops in Blue crew also performed medleys from today's charts as well older-generation songs like "Y.M.C.A." by the Village People.

"This was the first time that my wife and I have been to the show," said Prince Tucker, 419th Flight Test Squadron. "We both thought it was incredible, high energy, with lots of variety and crowd participation. The level of talent was astonishing - vocals, musicians and choreography."

Tucker said the best part of the show was his daughters' performing as the opening act. The duo won last year's local talent show called U Got Talent, an Air Force Family & Teen Talent Contest. Kotomi and Miwa won in both their age categories and as a duet. They were asked to be the opening act at this year's Tops in Blue performance.

"The Tops In Blue team members were professional, courteous and supportive throughout the entire event. My daughters had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed participating in the show."
