CHPS offers InBody Test Published Aug. 12, 2014 By Edwards Civilian Health Promotion Services EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Are you on a diet, looking to get in shape, or trying to maximize performance? Or maybe concerned about your weight? Edwards Civilian Health Promotion Services invites DOD civilians to experience the InBody Test. The InBody is a convenient and accurate way to measure and monitor your body composition. The InBody measures and reports the amount and percentage of fat and muscle throughout the body and also measures how a person's body composition compares to healthy expected ranges. Additionally, InBody counts how many calories someone can burn. Participation and enrollment for the InBody Test is simple. 1) Just contact CHPS at (661) 277-3667 to enroll. 2) Attend any two CHPS classes in August. See the attached calendar to the right or view the online calendar at www.AFMCwellness.com. 3) DOD civilians need to bring a copy of their up-to-date Health Risk Wellness Profile Certificate to any class. Participants can take their HRA and/or print the certificate at www.AFMCwellness.com. Complete steps 1- 3 by Aug. 26 and call or come to the CHPS office next to the Rosburg Fitness Center (the old HAWC building) to schedule the InBody Test appointment. For DOD civilians who have not yet gotten an CRP (cholesterol and glucose check) from CHPS this fiscal year, complete steps 1 - 3. Plus, by completing a CRP in August, participants will receive a lunch bag, water bottle or fitness bag. Contact CHPS to make your CRP appointment. CHPS also has swing shift availability. Active duty can bring a cholesterol/glucose copy from their own doctor or on-base medical site to qualify for the bonus prize. Ask about the InBody today.
