Representatives from 59 colleges and universities gathered at Club Muroc in the Alliance Ballroom Aug. 13, for the base's annual Education Fair. The fair is open to all military, dependents, retirees and DOD civilians interested in furthering their education.

"All Education Centers across the Air Force and other DOD bases also put on an education fair," said Elizabeth Hodge, 412th Force Support Squadron Education Services specialist. "That brings all our colleges together to help our Airmen and civilians who work here at the base and are interested in meeting face-to-face with college reps and talking to them about programs they offer that support their academic goals."

For base personnel who were unable to attend, Edwards Education Office counselors and staff are available to assist our military and civilian Airmen with the following:

- Educational Counseling
- Professional Military Education (PME) and College Testing
- Tuition Assistance (TA)
- Setting up your College Classes
- Academic Advisement
- PME Program Development
- Civilian Developmental Educational Programs (CDE)

"The Air Force's goal is to have a leaner, more educated work force and this helps promote our academics programs and support our Acquisition Position Development Project positions for their continuing education," said Hodge. "It supports their overall personal and professional development through their career."
