Lane closures on Fitz-Gerald Blvd. Published Oct. 10, 2014 By 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Beginning Oct. 20 and through Dec. 12, lane closures will be enforced on Fitz-Gerald Boulevard to allow workers to repair cracks and failed areas between Rickenbacker Dr., just west of the Exchange and Commissary, to Lancaster Blvd. Closures will be enforced on the outside lanes of the four-lane roadway until mid-November and on the two inside lanes from then until mid-December. This will allow traffic to be maintained with a single lane in each direction throughout the construction period. Access to the route's facilities, including the Exchange, Commissary and the Express gas station will be maintained and uninterrupted. These lane closures have been selected to preserve the use of Fitz-Gerald while providing safety for the maintenance workers in the area. Please respect these workers by using extra caution when driving through this area. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 661-810-6792.
