Volunteer groups raise funds while helping servicemembers wrap up the perfect present Published Nov. 6, 2014 By Jusika Martinez Army & Air Force Exchange Service Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Edwards Air Force Base - Community groups can raise funds for their worthy causes while spreading some holiday cheer as the Edwards Air Force Base Exchange is actively soliciting partners for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service's annual community gift wrap program. "In order to make the holidays a little easier, we partner with local military groups to ensure gifts purchased at the Exchange can be wrapped up before they even leave the store," said General Manager Charles Eaves. "This initiative offers a one-stop solution for busy military shoppers." During peak holiday seasons, the Exchange sets up tables and provides wrapping paper and ribbon that community volunteer groups can use to wrap gifts for donations. Dates and hours of operation for gift wrapping services vary, but interested organizations can contact the Edwards Air Force Base Exchange at (661) 258-1078 Ext 200 for information on scheduling a time to participate.
