Desert High teams enter CIF playoffs Published Nov. 12, 2014 By 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Desert High School's football, girls volleyball and boys cross country teams have all made it to the CIF playoffs, which begin this week. The varsity football team finished 8-2 overall and 6-1 in their league. They will play Brethren Christian from Huntington Beach Nov. 14 at DHS, 7 p.m. The 20-1 girls volleyball team will play their first playoff game Nov. 13 at home versus San Gabriel Mission High School at 7 p.m. The boys varsity crossy country team placed third in the Mountain Desert League qualifying them for the CIF preliminary at Mt. San Antonio College Nov 15. This will be the second year in a row the team made the CIF prelims.
