DHS football, girls volleyball end seasons

The Desert High Girls Volleyball Team's winning season came to a close Nov. 18 in Duarte, California. The team put up a great effort, but was finally put to rest by the Duarte High School team 3-2 in girls volleyball playoffs. Desert finished the season undefeated in their league (14-0) and 22-2 overall.

The DHS football team also closed out a successful season Nov. 14 following a 35-24 loss at home versus Orange County's Brethren Christian High School. The game was part of the 2014 CIF Southern Section High School Football Playoff Bracket - East Valley Division. The Scorpions finished their season 8-3.
