412th Ops Group deputy CC retires Published Nov. 24, 2014 By Rebecca Amber Staff writer EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Members of the 412th Operations Group gathered at the Air Force Flight Test Museum Nov. 21 to watch Lt. Col. Michael Morgan retire after 20 years in the Air Force. Presiding over the ceremony was NASA astronaut Col. Jack Fisher who shared that he was not there as a presiding official, but as an "Anchor Brag Device." A US Air Force Test Pilot School graduate, Morgan accumulated over 2,300 flight hours in various aircraft including an F-15, C-5 and C-141. He was an instructor pilot and test pilot and has flown more than 35 different aircraft platforms. His final assignment was as the deputy director for the 412th Operations Group. Fisher attended TPS the same time as Morgan and both worked together at the 40th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. "He's always putting the people and mission first."
