On Dec. 18 at 1p.m., the In-Service Air Force Guard recruiter, Tech. Sgt. Jodi Joice, and the In-Service Air Force Reserve recruiter Master Sgt. Sam Flynn, will be holding a Palace Chase/Palace Front briefing at Bldg. 2460, Room A (the building behind the Education Center).

The Palace Chase program allows active duty officers and Airmen to voluntarily transfer from active duty in the United States Air Force to the United States Air Force Reserve or the Air National Guard. The member's remaining active duty service commitment or term of enlistment may be waived for approved applicants in exchange for the member's agreement to participate in a Selected Reserve ("Traditional Reserve / Traditional Guard") program in the Air Reserve Component. The ARC consists of both the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard. Personnel transitioning to an ARC billet also remain eligible for acceptance into the full-time Active Guard and Reserve and Air Reserve Technician programs.

The Palace Front program is a transfer program which allows active Air Force officers and enlisted members to transfer from Active Duty to the ANG or AFR the day after separation from the Air Force, normally upon completing ADSC or on reaching their DOS.

If you have questions about joining the Guard or Reserve this is a great opportunity to receive the information about the programs offered by these two services and ask the subject matter experts all of your questions. Call 661-277-3582 for more information.
