Edwards C.A.P. Squadron Open House March 31 Published March 25, 2015 By Capt. Gail Harper Civil Air Patrol Squadron 84 EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Edwards AFB's Civil Air Patrol Squadron Open House will be held at the Oasis Community Center March 31 from 6 p.m. to 8. The public is invited to attend and enjoy the squadron cadet program demonstrations. Cadets will be sharing their C.A.P. training experience in the following cadet programs: Aerospace Education including remotely controlled aircraft and rocketry Emergency Services including Search and Rescue operations Emergency Locating Transmitter and Urban Direction Finding training Military Leadership skills along with drill exercises C.A.P. Public Affairs and recruitment officers will be on hand to share more of what C.A.P. has to offer as well. The Civil Air Patrol has programs for cadets and seniors, aging from 12 to 100 years old. If you are interested in aviation, flight training (gliders and powered), photography, disaster relief, public affairs, radio communications, leadership training, physical fitness, to name a few of the CAP programs, come and join the squadron. Edwards C.A.P. also needs parents, teachers, pilots and prior C.A.P. members to join the growing squadron.
