USO Show Troupe dances through Edwards

The Edwards community was invited to a couple special performances courtesy of Bob Hope USO. The USO Show Troupe performed as the main act at the 412th Maintenance Group April 6 and later at the Oasis Community Center in the afternoon. The troupe performed a variety of music all the way from the 40s to today's Top 40 hits.

The USO Show Troupe is part of an entertainment tradition that goes back more than 70 years to its beginnings in the muddy camp shows of the South Pacific.

Performing live annually for more than 600,000 troops and family members worldwide and nationally televised audiences, the USO Show Troupe presents top-of-the-line entertainment with performers possessing extensive Broadway, Off-Broadway, film and TV credits.

Other notable appearances for the troupe include appearances on the The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, FOX and Friends, NBC's TODAY Show, ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking Eve with Ryan Seacrest and multiple sporting event appearances.

They've also served as the opening act for Katy Perry, Tim McGraw, Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, The Rascals, as well as performances with Gene Simmons, Tony Orlando and Lee Greenwood and Blake Shelton.
