Edwards to observe National Police Week May 5 - 12 Published April 27, 2015 By 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- National Police Week will be observed on Edwards AFB beginning May 5. The men and women of the 412th Security Forces Squadron invites everyone on base to come out and enjoy some events to commemorate law enforcement officers everywhere. The 412th SFS will hold a military working dog demonstration along with a weapons and gear display at the Exchange May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On May 7, come out to Arnold Park for a Badges Burger Burn - First Responders Cookout from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a bouncy house, volleyball and tug-of-war tournaments. A multi-agency End of Watch Ceremony for Kern County will be held May 11 at the Peace Officer Memorial at the Kern County Sheriff's headquarters, 1350 Norris Rd., Bakersfield. Time is 10 a.m. The event is open to the public.
