Concepts into capability squadron gets new commander Published July 14, 2015 By 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Lt. Col. Jose R. Gutierrez del Arroyo assumed command of the 771st Test Squadron during a formal ceremony July 14 at Club Muroc. Gutierrez previously served as the director of Curriculum Standards at the United States Air Force Test Pilot School. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he attended the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He earned a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle University, a Master of Science in Experimental Flight Test Engineering from USAF Test Pilot School, and a Master of Science and a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. The 771st Test Squadron aims to create a technically credible workforce to support electronic warfare test projects. They practice a disciplined test approach and turn electronic warfare, low observable and directed energy concepts into war fighting capability. The squadron falls under the 412th Electronic Warfare Group.
