With just under three minutes to play and up by only four points, the Eagles put together a 15-7 run sealing the victory.

Also getting on the board for Edwards was Ron Beldo with seven points, Dannon Currie and Caleb Hayes with six each, and Brandon Jefferson with four while Angelo Antonio added two.

Traveling to Ridgecrest to face the Murray Mustangs, the Eagles once again took a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back, leading by 17 at the half. "As long the kids stay focused and keep up the intensity they've been playing with we'll be very successful during the season," said Phillip Folson, Edwards Middle School's head coach.
