Rosamond, FitzGerald intersection construction begins March 10 Published March 6, 2008 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Construction on the Rosamond and FitzGerald intersection is set to begin March 10. Currently, bypasses are being constructed for both Rosamond and FitzGerald boulevards, as well as Lancaster and FitzGerald boulevards. During the construction on each intersection, which will not be happening at the same time, cars will be able to use the bypasses to transit to the western and northern parts of the base. When the road construction begins on March 10, FitzGerald Boulevard, between Rosamond and Lancaster boulevards, will be closed to traffic. Once that intersection is complete, that section of FitzGerald Boulevard will be reopened. Construction on the Lancaster and FitzGerald boulevards intersection will begin once the Rosamond and FitzGerald intersection construction is complete.
