Team Edwards announces fourth quarter award winners

The 95th Air Base Wing recently announced the Team Edwards Fourth Quarter Award winners.

The following are the award winners:

-- Airman of the Fourth Quarter: Senior Airman Margaret McCarthy, 95th Mission Support and Services Squadron customer service journeyman. Among her accomplishments this quarter, Airman McCarthy authored a new citizenship program instruction guide and re-engineered the processes to reduce time by 50 percent.

-- Noncommissioned Officer and Volunteer of the Fourth Quarter: Tech. Sgt. Hope Reales, 95th Communications Group client support administrative trainer. Among some of her accomplishments during the quarter, Sergeant Reales filled in as the base career advisor and was selected for additional-duty first sergeant. She also led about 100 volunteers during the Touch our Warriors program.

-- Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Fourth Quarter: Senior Master Sgt. Thomas Pfeffer, 95th Communications Group functional manager. Among some of his accomplishments during the quarter, Sergeant Pfeffer performed superintendent, functional manager and first sergeant duties for the 95th CG.

-- Company Grade Officer of the Fourth Quarter: Capt. Ryan Lubinski, 412th Flight Test Squadron combat operations mission planner. Among some of his accomplishments during the quarter, Captain Lubinski planned an inaugural Mi-17 combat mission -- the first mass cargo transport by Iraqi Air Force helicopters for counterinsurgency operations.

-- Secretarial and Clerical Civilian of the Quarter: Deborah Palmer, Air Force Flight Test Center Staff Judge Advocate discharge program clerk. Among some of her accomplishments during the quarter, she processed 19 discharge notification cases and conducted discharge program training.

-- Staff, Specialist and Analyst Civilian of the Fourth Quarter: Kathrin Doss, Air Force Flight Test Center Contracting Directorate contract specialist. Among her accomplishments during this quarter, Ms. Doss led the acquisition of hydrocarbon boost phase III, worth more than $20 million.

-- Technician Civilian of the Fourth Quarter: David Purcell, 95th Communication Squadron telecommunications technician. Among his accomplishments during the quarter, Mr. Purcell led a telephone software upgrade worth $1.3 million and engineered a high speed data link to support the Northrop Grumman Global Hawk flight test program.

-- Trades and Labor Civilian of the Quarter: Mark Kraus, 412th Operation Support Squadron life support technician. Among some of his accomplishments during the quarter, Mr. Kraus inspected and serviced life support equipment for four F-22 Raptors and led the aircraft's life support section.

-- Scientific and Engineering Civilian of the Fourth Quarter: Curtis Kenngott, 775th Test Squadron tactical data link engineer. Among his accomplishments this quarter, Mr. Kenngott deployed to Seattle for an interoperability test of an airborne warning and control system.

-- Supervision and Management Civilian of the Fourth Quarter: Kristen Pearson, 412th Test Support Squadron project manager. Among her accomplishments during the quarter, Ms. Pearson led the C-130 Avionics Modernization program.

-- Team of the Fourth Quarter: F-22 Raptor Cold Weather Operations Test Team. Among their accomplishments during the quarter, the team crafted a test preparation plan using more than 25 reports from the Federal Aviaton Administration and the Air Force Flight Test Center. They also achieved the first F-22 test deployment outside the continental United States with 28 test hours completed.

The winners were selected from units within the 95th Air Base Wing, the 412th Test Wing, the Air Force Flight Test Center and associate units.
