Base closed; clinic, DeCA, AAFES services still available Published Dec. 18, 2008 EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Edwards AFB is closed Dec. 18 due to the recent snow storm. However, base personnel are expected to report for normal duty hours Dec. 19. For urgent medical care, the main and aerospace clinic are scheduled to remain open until 4 p.m. today. Also, the Defense Commissary Agency and all Army and Air Force Exchange (AFFES) services will remain open for normal operating hours. Commissary - 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. BX/Mall Complex - 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Burger King - 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Shoppette - 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pizza Hut - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Service Station - 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.; gas pumps remain open 24hrs Base closure and late-reporting information will continue to be disseminated through the pyramid alert system.
