As part of Team Edwards' commitment to the fit-to-fight program, a 2.3-mile installation run is scheduled for March 13.

The run will start and finish at the Commissary parking lot. Units will form in the southwestern section of the parking lot by 7:15 a.m. The formation will exit the parking lot, turn left on Kincheloe Avenue, turn right on FitzGerald Avenue and continue all the way to the intersection of Forbes Avenue and FitzGerald Avenue. Participants will then make a u-turn and return on the east-bound side of FitzGerald Avenue.

The authorized uniform for Air Force personnel is the running suit, with jackets zipped up at least three quarters of the way. Gloves and stocking hats are optional and must be darkly colored and conservative. The Air Force logo is the only allowed insignia on headgear and gloves.

All civilian employees are highly encouraged to participate in this activity and will not be charged leave. Approval is subject to mission requirements and supervisor approval. In addition, civilians are encouraged to wear blue, white and gray athletic attire.

The formation will be escorted by a vehicle at the front and rear of the formation. The 95th Security Forces Squadron will post uniformed road guards where necessary.

Team Edwards members unable to run will still participate. Walkers will walk on the paved sidewalks along FitzGerald Avenue to the Child Development Center then turn around and return to the Commissary parking lot. Walkers do not have to march in formation but will form up at the rear for their units. Acacia Hills and Tamarisk Plains residents will be redirected to exit the community at Forbes Avenue. Through traffic trying to reach the Child Development Center will be detoured around to the rear of the facility.
