Base releases Edwards, AFRL water quality reports

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Team Edwards recently released the 2008 Annual Consumer Confidence Report on Tap Water Quality for the Main Base and Air Force Research Laboratory Propulsion Directorate.

Under the "Consumer Confidence Reporting Rule" of the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, community water systems are required to report this water quality information to the consuming public. Presented in this report is information on the source of our water, its constituents and the health risks associated with any contaminants.

Both Edwards and AFRL's drinking water systems draw water from on-base ground water wells and surface water supplied by the Antelope Valley East Kern Water Agency.
