The 95th Civil Engineer and Transportation Directorate will repair Wolfe Avenue and Yeager Boulevard intersection beginning May 26 to June 5.

The Wolfe and Yeager intersection will be fully closed from May 26, 2 p.m., to June 5, 4 p.m., and traffic will be detoured through the parking lot adjacent to the Cactus Café. For customers visiting the 95th Communications Group Support Center, they can use Yeager Boulevard and turn left behind building 3940.

"We'll be repairing three different sections on Wolfe Avenue and replace the Wolfe and Yeager intersection," said Ken Crawford, 95th CE project manager.

Additionally, a short section of Wolfe Avenue near building 3920 will be closed on May 27 and again on June 1, during which traffic will be routed through the parking lot east of building 3920.

From May 28 through 31, the road will be open but with a gravel surface, which will require extra care from drivers.

Two additional sections of Wolfe Avenue, one south of the intersection with Popson Avenue, near building 2750, and another near building 1260 will be repaired while traffic is routed through the construction areas. No detours will be required at these locations.

Officials with the 95th CE are reminding all motorists to use caution and obey all signs in the construction areas and along the detour routes. Motorists should remember to allow extra time when using Wolfe Avenue the next two weeks, and when using the detour routes through the parking lots.
