The 95th Civil Engineer and Transportation Directorate will repair the intersection at Rosamond and Lancaster Boulevards beginning June 8 to mid-August.

"This intersection has not been repaired in more than 10 years," said Ralph Cantrell, 95th CE civil engineer. "When complete, the center of the intersection will be rebuilt using more than seven inches of high strength concrete. This will extend the life of the intersection for another 20 years."

Traffic at the Intersection of Rosamond and Lancaster Boulevards will be reduced to one lane each way. Consequently, all motorists are reminded to use caution and obey all posted warning signs in-and-around the construction zone.

Motorist should remember to allow extra time when using Rosamond and Lancaster Boulevards especially during rush hour. Detours around the construction zone are available to those motorists using Rosamond Boulevard at Forbes Avenue. Motorist traveling on Lancaster Boulevard can avoid the construction zone by exiting at Wolfe Avenue. They are also reminded to use caution during constructions for the safety of the workers.
