Santa is not happy, and this year, he's doing something about it at the 95th Air Base Wing Nice and Naughty holiday party at Club Muroc Dec. 16, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

His jolly old soul is troubled this year by what he saw on his famous lists. You see, as he was making his naughty and nice lists, Santa noted that several members of the 95th Air Base Wing were on the infamous naughty list. He checked his list two and three times this year, but still these folks kept appearing in the naughty column. Fearing he might be handing out more coal than gifts this year, Santa decided to allow these questionable characters a chance to amend their mischievous ways and become jolly good Airmen.

He has enlisted the aid of three judges, Col. Jerry Gandy, 95th ABW commander, Col. Joe Torres, 95th ABW vice commander and Col. Janet Taylor, 95th Medical Group commander. They will hold a Nice and Naughty court in the Club Muroc ballroom. There he will show the judges, elves and the world that he is always watching and that he has proof of all the wrong doings.

Santa wants to show you all video proof of these suspected perpetrators' questionable behavior. After you have seen their dubious deeds, it will be up to you to decide whether they are naughty or nice. If the prisoners are deemed naughty by the crowd and the judges, Santa will give them one last chance to save their stockings from coal stains with a bit of holiday cheer.

In addition to the Nice and Naughty Trial, entertainment will include recorded holiday greetings from around Edwards Air Force Base. Refreshments, which will include little sandwiches and other finger foods, iced tea and lemonade. All other beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.

Along with all the fun for the grown-ups, there will be a Children's Holiday Party hosted by the 95th ABW Officers Spouses Club and held just off of the ballroom. Arts and crafts will include coloring ornaments and decorating cookies, which they can eat. There will also be puzzles and videos to entertain the little masses.

The club will provide the cookies and drinks for the children's party, and Santa will be available after the trial (around 4 p.m.) for photos with the children. Photographs will be available for pick-up before you leave.

Tickets are on sale now and available through the Public Affairs Office. Children under age 10 can attend free of charge. Tickets for  ranks E-1 through E-5 and children ages 10 to 17 are $7.50. Everyone else's tickets are $15.00.
